In a $733 million contract awarded by ADNOC Offshore, ADNOC Drilling will be deploying three ‘island’ drilling rigs for operations at the offshore Zakum field in Abu Dhabi. These new rigs will operate on both existing and newly constructed artificial islands, focusing on drilling and well completion.

Capital expenditure for the new rigs will be approximately $210 million, mostly occurring in 2025. ADNOC Drilling expects the first full year of revenue from these rigs in 2027.
