On 19th July, the brand launch conference of FOTON TUNLAND full-series pickup trucks was held in Mexico City.The release of the TUNLAND V and TUNLAND G series, the first full-size pickup trucks equipped with a hybrid powertrain, as well as the TUNLAND E5 electric pickup truck, signifies that FOTON has officially refreshed the Mexican pickup truck market and is about to reshape the market pattern with its outstanding product power.

At the launch event, FOTON showcased the appeal of the TUNLAND series of pickup trucks with visual effects. Among them, TUNLAND V9 sets a new standard of size and styling with its length of 5,617mm, width of 2,090mm and height of 1,955mm. The vehicle not only possesses powerful off-road capability and high load-carrying capacity, but also incorporates the driving comfort of a luxury sedan, bringing users an unprecedented experience of life in a pickup truck.

TUNLAND V is equipped with FOTON's newly developed turbocharged diesel hybrid powertrain with 48V hybrid system, 2.0L AUCAN turbocharged diesel engine and 8AT ZF transmission, with peak torque of up to 450Nm, strong power and quick response. Through the application of energy recovery system and ultra-high-pressure combustion system, TUNLAND V achieves a 10% reduction in fuel consumption and a thermal efficiency of up to 50%, demonstrating FOTON's outstanding achievements in energy saving and emission reduction.

In terms of intelligence, TUNLAND V is also at the forefront of the industry. The vehicle is equipped with intelligent driving aids such as ACC adaptive cruise control, AEB automatic emergency braking, lane keeping, etc., realising L2.5 level automatic driving, which significantly improves the convenience and safety of driving. Meanwhile, a 14.6-inch intelligent large screen, intelligent voice interaction system and ambient lighting intelligent linkage provide users with full-scene intelligent in-vehicle services and immersive experience. The NVH performance of the whole car has been improved by 15%, 6 airbags for the main and passenger, and active and passive safety have been comprehensively upgraded, creating a full range of safety protection for users.

The TUNLAND G Series, on the other hand, is supported by its super power chain and global leading technical resources, designed to meet users' life and off-road vehicle scenarios. Equipped with the AUCAN diesel engine developed in cooperation with Ricardo and mated with ZF 8AT/6MT transmission, it has a maximum power of 162hp and a peak torque of 388Nm, providing high performance and low fuel consumption. The application of Bosch injection system ensures that the emission meets the Euro 6E standard, and the BorgWarner 4WD system provides four driving modes of 2H/AUTO/4H/4L, which can easily cope with various complicated road conditions. Meanwhile, TUNLAND G is also equipped with six airbags, pre-tensioned seatbelts, Bosch ESP and Advanced Driver Assistance System to ensure users' safety. Sedan-grade interior features such as heated ergonomic seats and a 10.25inch HD multifunction touchscreen further enhance the user's driving comfort.
